What sucks is Cobb would have done good things they just didn't have the time or people to keep up on the Z platform. I talked to Christian @ Cobb about a month ago and did state that there is power to be had through vvel tuning. I can post the conversation when I'm home , it was from mazdaspeedforums which I still occasionally visit.

Edit: here ya go

I am sure that power is to be had there. We simply did not have enough engineers to effectively reverse engineer those platforms and provide excellent customer service. We cannot make a product without being able to back it the way we want to. We have to also be able to provide superior customer service to back it up. Christian.

O well one day something may come from someone

Eh took them 3 years to rlly get the Mazda ecu cracked .. they would hit a wall of like 390 awhp no matter what psi and no matter how big the turbo... Finally it turned out to be a load table or something that broke them free. Whatever the reason , someone can probably step up and get this done. Maybe uprev , Gtm.. who knows .

Uprev & GTM are both working on it, Cobb dumped all NA cars to return to its roots (factory boosted cars). Which honestly was the best choice they could have made, lets them focus more for better results and customer support.

Might be in some interest for people to start bugging the stand alone companies who did well with the 350z and see if they are working on the 370z & VVEL.

More likely because there is no money in it.

Problem is, there's like 30k or so z's, and only a small portion of people would buy it. Even if they kept their crack proprietary, the market is minuscule. In reality, the crack would be easy to reverse engineer, thus leaving them with nothing to recoup their cost.

The ecu doesn't appear that difficult to get through. I think a couple friends and I could have it done with a month of full time work... But that's at least $20-50k worth of a good engineer's time, not really practical.

339 to the wheels on a Mustang. Me and three other Z's all made similar numbers within 2-3hp. I have the graphs print-outs etc. Thats what the dyno said after 5+ runs thats what I write in my Sig.

Again off subject, but call me crazy, I thought mustang dynos read 10% or so LOWER than dynojets. That would mean on a dynojet you would test at roughly 373whp. Those numbers sound crazy!!! Im not callin you a liar something just sounds off. Sorry again to be off topic.

Mustand dyno can read either Low OR High depending on the setting the user put in .

So his number is just a reference on that dyno where he used it ...
