Finnally Uprev!!!
I got my Z uprev Saturday I'm very impressed with the drive ably of the tune, mine being a 7at the shifts are very smooth up or down, gas pedal lag is nonexistent(that I can tell)and it runs and pulls great.
I didn't get a base stock dyno reading but here are the mods I did. Stillen Gen 3 intakes Fast intentions 18in resonators exhaust Fast intentions HFC Dyno jet @ Z1 motor sports Base line numbers 300.07hp 247.09tq after 15 pulls 305.37hp 245.92tq The hp numbers are where I thought they would be,but the tq fell a little short from where I was thinking it should have been. But what I thought was very cool was it made peak hp @6700rpm and it held that number all the way thru 7500rpm. Last but not least when John pulled it on the dyno he pulled it 4 times in a row and every time the number was always 305hp,the power didn't change despite being heat soaked. http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/z...3/IMG_0014.jpg |
Do you have before and after graphs?
Hoping there was a good difference under the curve :) |

No I didn't do any stock dyno runs I just put the mods on and had it on the dyno. 300hp is where it started at and 305hp is where we left it, It was running really well on the dyno without the tune and when the first pull showed 300hp I knew we wouldn't get much more. I will see if I can get my dyno sheet up here in the next couple of days. |
60 views and only one comment I'm surprised.

Nice work, Man, Did mine of Friday and got 298 WHP and 230 WTQ, I got 1 WHP and 2 WTQ top end but same as you picked up 10 WHP and 9 WTQ in the mid range and that gain was all the way to redline. I have thread here with my dyno graph. What kinda dyno Mustang right. Mine was and I made almost the same as you, Mods on sig, :)

Mustang dyno is typically lower reading than dyno jet but my understanding is depending on the mustang dyno settings, it can be higher or lower. So maybe in your case the settings were such that it reads higher than other mustang dynos?
I'm not too sure of how they really differ but it seems dyno jets have no parameters to set and are mostly consistent between different dyno jet units. Mustang dynos have different settings and results from one unit can't really be compared to another. Someone correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption. ANMVQ, so it's really more likely that your dyno results are higher than normal. I got 267 hp, 207 tq on a mustang dyno with G3 intakes and F.I. CBE. |

these numbers are as close as you can get without yanking the motor. |

if you don't mind me asking, how much was it for the whole tune?
|
It is normally $595 but I got a little discount off that price.:excited:

Thats what I thought but the corection factor was low, uncorrected was only 4 WHP less.. The place a went to is "Known" for not inflating there numbers to satify cumstomers. The first time I went there( last year) they told me that they read lower than the other dynos. There was a guy with a G35 Coupe there before me and his numbers where in the 220-230's. tsolin01:Your 267 WHP and 207 WTQ sounds right if your pull was in third. My 3rd gear pull was 270 WHP and 212 WTQ. I know all dynos read different and the correctrions factors can be changed thats why the first thing I asked was whats the correction factor. The temp was 71 degress and very very low humidity. They showed me the uncorrected number and it was 294 WHP a 6 WHP correction is nothing.. |

Will I benefit from a tune with just Stillen G3's and exhaust? What will I gain?

My pull was in 5th and it was in the high 80s with high humidity so I'm not surprised it was low. Everyone that day was reading low actually. A supercharged G35 made 300hp and he was pretty disappointed lol There weren't any other 370Zs or G37s that ran that day so I couldn't get a comparison for that dyno. Eventually I'll get a tune when I get some test pipes and hopefully gain some more HP. The shop by me is like $300 for the tune plus the dyno time and it comes out to like $600ish. Good to see you guys get some decent gains though. |
added dyno sheet at the top.:hello:

Nice graph man smooth just like mine. UG maybe I should look at HFC's I would love 20 more WTQ.
