Finnally Uprev!!!

I got my Z uprev Saturday I'm very impressed with the drive ably of the tune, mine being a 7at the shifts are very smooth up or down, gas pedal lag is nonexistent(that I can tell)and it runs and pulls great.

I didn't get a base stock dyno reading but here are the mods I did.

Stillen Gen 3 intakes
Fast intentions 18in resonators exhaust
Fast intentions HFC

Dyno jet @ Z1 motor sports

Base line numbers 300.07hp 247.09tq
after 15 pulls 305.37hp 245.92tq

The hp numbers are where I thought they would be,but the tq fell a little short from where I was thinking it should have been.
But what I thought was very cool was it made peak hp @6700rpm and it held that number all the way thru 7500rpm.

Last but not least when John pulled it on the dyno he pulled it 4 times in a row and every time the number was always 305hp,the power didn't change despite being heat soaked.

Do you have before and after graphs?

Hoping there was a good difference under the curve :)

I picked up allot from 3500rpm-4500rpm about 9hp and 13ft tq then from 4500rpm till 7000rpm it stayed the same but @7100 till 7500rpm I picked up 6hp and 5ft tq.

No I didn't do any stock dyno runs I just put the mods on and had it on the dyno.

300hp is where it started at and 305hp is where we left it,
It was running really well on the dyno without the tune and when the first pull showed 300hp I knew we wouldn't get much more.

I will see if I can get my dyno sheet up here in the next couple of days.

Nice work, Man, Did mine of Friday and got 298 WHP and 230 WTQ, I got 1 WHP and 2 WTQ top end but same as you picked up 10 WHP and 9 WTQ in the mid range and that gain was all the way to redline. I have thread here with my dyno graph. What kinda dyno Mustang right. Mine was and I made almost the same as you, Mods on sig, :)

did you ever do any quarter mile timing before and after?

No quarter mile times straight to the dyno.

??? Dyno jet = higher than Mustang? Should he have made more WHP like 10% more?? Did you have a less than one correction?

tsolin01 05-02-2011 03:48 PM

Mustang dyno is typically lower reading than dyno jet but my understanding is depending on the mustang dyno settings, it can be higher or lower. So maybe in your case the settings were such that it reads higher than other mustang dynos?

I'm not too sure of how they really differ but it seems dyno jets have no parameters to set and are mostly consistent between different dyno jet units. Mustang dynos have different settings and results from one unit can't really be compared to another. Someone correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption.

ANMVQ, so it's really more likely that your dyno results are higher than normal. I got 267 hp, 207 tq on a mustang dyno with G3 intakes and F.I. CBE.

You have it backwards Mustang dyno reads high than dyno jet.
these numbers are as close as you can get without yanking the motor.
