I'm pretty sure someone tried this already and saw exactly 0 gains from it.

you can read the vvel in degress of activation its not hard to see the difference with Uprev. if there is a difference then we should be able to come on a conclusion that they tuned the vvel on the nismo. |

So... who will do it? :nutswinger: I can probably get OEM VVEL data in due course, so all we need is a Nismo-er... |
ohhh this just got intresting...in for results

We should probably also get data from a MT... any volunteers? |

Again, is the VVEL ECU in the same box or not? If not, maybe they only did half the swap??? |
subscribing for info.

Wow -- I start great drunken threads!

but no one knows what unit does what and how... edit ; i doubt someone just swaped a Nismo Ecu into a normal 370z because its a bit more complicated than that |

If anybody runs across a cheap Z ecu let me know, I would love to play around with one and see what's going on with it.

thanks for posting those dyno graphs earlier, pretty eye opening. Seems to me like the nismos def have some ecu and/or vvel tuning going on that is pretty legit and it's more than just a cbe accounting for the extra bit of power. What I'm really curious to see (and this is obviously a couple years out) is how they differentiate the nismo powerwise from the regulars 370's once they incorporate DI, or maybe they won't? |
