Question about programmer

Hey guys, I've spent the past couple of hours searching the forum for information on different options and I see that the majority of people are suggesting the Uprev tune. Unfortunately the closest dealer to me is over two hours away and that just isn't feasible for me given my work schedule. The only other option I've seen is the Hypertech programmer. Has anyone had any experience with this? When I search all I see is ads for people selling them. Are there any other programmer options? I see the Cobb has been discontinued.

You are still able to go with Uprev. You can buy it online. You do not have to go to an Uprev dealer or Uprev pro tuner.

So how exactly does it work? Do I just download the software, enter my vehicle's mods and whatnot and then connect it to the car? Is it pretty self explanatory or do I need a mechanic to do it?

Track down a reputable tuner in your area if need be.

Buy Osiris Standard for $500.00. You get three free e-tunes with that.

Also just to let you know they are supporting some 2011's. We currently have my 2011 Nismo flashed and are working to get more data on it.

I wont recommend you to tune your car by ur self if you never tuned a car before, its not that easy.

Just go to uprev tuner after you buy all bolts on, it worth the drive

i drove 2 hours too to tune my car.

I can't say what the hypertech results would be on the 370, but I bought one for my 2010 expedition and it made a huge difference, even with the 87 octane tune.

As far as performance upgrades all I've done is drop in K&N filters and Cobb post MAF tubes. The only other things I really thought about doing are Berk high flow cats and a tune. Do you guys suggest doing the cats first and then doing the tune?

Get all the mods you plan on ever getting before you get a tune.

I personally have the Hypertech for my 2010 G37xS sedan. I love it, but know it's not giving me the hp/tq bump that an UpRev tune would. You can get it for far less than $450. Check the sponsor sales forum.

As far as UpRev, you'd have to purchase UpRev Standard ($500) or Tuner ($700)... you get the software, and a data cable that plugs into the OBD port on the car, and USB port on your laptop. Pretty straight forward with the instructions. An eTune would be the way to go for you, since you're not near a shop that you could get a custom tune. It'll take UpRev 1-2 weeks to update your tune (via logs you send them), so keep that in mind.

Very True the hypertech makes a huge difference. Throttle response, clear codes, engine tuning. Its worth it. And its way less than 450

So what exactly is the difference between the Osiris standard and tuner? Is the e-tune included with both of these? How does that work, do I plug it into my car and then send them the readings and then they send me a tune for it in 1-2 weeks?
