Its hard to beat a Custom Osiris Dyno tune, i do not recommend running a generic tune (Hypertech) or even E-tunes. Cars vary so much you never know how your may react. A good dyno tune by a pro tuner is the key to RWHP and longevity with any mods.

Hypertech is a canned tune -- IMO, not worth it unless you intend to do NO bolt on modding ever.

hypertech is coming out with a tune for intake and exhaust. hell of alot cheaper then a tune and you can always turn it back to stock. Cant do that with uprev...unless you pay.

Pete370Z 03-31-2011 01:53 PM

You can't go back to stock with UpRev if you need warranty work done?

When is this going to happen and has it been truly confirmed??

I was under the impression that with Osiris Standard you can actually choose up to 5 maps. And that one of them can be stock if you want. Is this right???

Edit: Ok so this is actually a thread about changing maps. So you can actually go back to stock if you previously choose that as a map. Definitely getting Uprev

I missed this earlier, LOL

their tune for "an intake and exhaust" is a still a basically one big guess, they make that tune as generic as possible so they aren't popping motors like crazy and then they sell it by "Claiming gains".

I wish someone would do a back to back with Stock vs Failtech (aka Hypertech) vs a Pro Osiris tune. At the end of the day Stock and Osiris would be the safest and Osiris would make the most power.

and as far as "can't do that with uprev" yes you can, not sure where you got all your expert knowledge from, But you can either have your tuner setup the map changing ability where you can do it on the fly using cruise control buttons or at any time your tuner can flash it back to stock and remove the license entirely. Either of those options hides it from the dealer and leaves no footprint.

Thanks for all the info guys! I went ahead and ordered the Osiris tune, but it's gonna be quite some time before I actually get it. When I sent them my ECU part number they said it had a ROM that they hadn't done yet so I'm waiting for them to send me the cable so that I can download my ROM info and send it back to them so that they can make a tune for it. They said it could be four weeks before I get it back :-/

Worth the wait. If you need help hit me on PM because I cannot believe how misinformed this post was.

I apologize that I'm not an engineer. My point was that they didn't have support for my ECU part number yet and they needed some additional information. Better?

We have 23 engineers and three dynos two of our Dynos are four wheel chassis and are custom built for our testing needs. Compare my engineering power to any aftermarket company especially tuning companies. The only way to make more power is to effect longevity. If your building drag car and need every bit HP get a custom tune that focuses only on wide open power. If your putting headers exhaust CAI and its your DD and would like to see more power in the entire rpm range and peddle position as well as better fuel efficiency you should try Hypertech.

Does anyone on this board have my product and is not happy with it ?

franky2222 06-20-2011 07:52 PM

i had it and was not impressed with it,felt the same as stock,,, car stunk like gas I HAVE INJEN CAI and BERK HFC ,,,after the UPREV CUSTOM TUNE i made about 25WHP EXTRA and the car runs AMAZINGLY
