Talked to a local tuner who does street tuning, he does tracking and he recommends tuning a car on street as it is exposed to real variables than on a dyno and he got all the software and equipment to log
From what I read on other forums and most of them are F.I cars 1)A/F ratios can be fine tuned and easy to monitor this 2) Ignition timing results will be harder to monitor. 3) Street tuning is not safe unless done on a private road. Tuner wants about $450, I guess it'll take few hours to tune from a factory map but I've a custom tuned map that was done on a dyno, would I not be better off starting on this tuned map as a base? what do you guys think? |
