Default tuning without dyno??

A friend of mine needs to tune his evo so he can unlock its potential. what part in the program do you adjust? I forget because the last time I seen it, it was about 9 months ago. I know its a 3rd gear pull but what rpm do you accelerate at? I know a little with tuning without a dyno but has anyone here done it and if so if you have do's/dont's or just advise plz let me know. Right now thats all the Q's we got. Thank you for the help.

Fuel and timing schedules for a start. Adjust values throughout the full rpm range.

Not to sound harsh, but if you have to ask this question, you should not be playing with the tune.

To be entirely honest I would def not try and tune an FI'd car if you have no prior experience. Like said above you will have a mad friend very quick...

I was asking for him cuz he's wanting to do it. Neither of us have previous HANDS ON experience. I know what you mean by he shouldnt do it. It can really mess up his car if not dont right, better yet destroy his engine if you make it knock.

PM'd you my email, if your friend can learn to flash his vehicle , pull his current hex/rom file and take logs , send me a list if mods with this information I can tune him remotely, if he has no WBo2 ( which I doubt) I can get fairly close but will not get it to its maximum and safe potential with out WB support.

EVO's make good power and can make safe power, for all their hype, they are one of the easier vehicles to dial in.
