Haha, how'd you go from the engine dyno to blamming the transmission? Personally, I think the suspension is to blame

Kidding aside, Dyno's have shown in the past that 7AT's would produce a lower Power reading than a same equipped MT, this has to do with the drivetrain loss is higher in the 7AT, but it's no slouch either.
