toner needs a tuner. thought that was funny. AAM is the shiznizzle with the AP, they pulled 30 ft/lbs of tq out of bluestyle's Z, i wouldnt exactly call that a problem.

Well I wasn't saying it was true but thatsjust from what i was reading is all. Alot of people said they tuned there cars bad and they blown engines up on the dyno. Like I said I'm not saying this is true just telling what I have read, but I will map quest there address and see how far they are from me. Don't feal like driving 3 hours to get my car tuned. Thought maybe somebody local around might know of a tuner in are area. O yea toner needs a tuner

3 hours is nothing, I've driven 6-7 hours to go to a tuner before, and not even blinked at the thought. It's kinda funny too cause the people at the Canadian border just can't wrap their head around us driving so far for a guy to work on our cars. It usually takes an hour just to talk to the Canadian Border Patrol into letting us across the border, although last time was easier. Once you find a tuner you completely trust, I'd drive 12 hours if need be, but that's me and my lack of trust for the majority of tuners in Ohio.

I can understand that, I am a big person on customer service and quality thats why I love GTM now. Issue with me is I can't drive to far away from norfolk va, i am in the military and the only way to do it is to go on leave then, but me and my girl have a vacation coming up and I need the leave days for that. I know there is a tunner in virginia beach but not sure if he would have the software for my car but kind of affraid to call him because I don't know what to ask him lol. Sorry but I am just getting into this as a hobby so I don't know much in this area, ( but I can tell you how to rebuild a MH-60s). Thanks for all the replies

Frank

No worries man, don't sweat it not knowing exactly what to ask, you are in a good place to learn (the forums) you just have to sort through the Bull-ish. I am also in the military (not Active Duty like it sounds like you are) and understand about the leave. I normally find it funny when people who are into cars don't like driving whatever distance it takes to get to a quality tuner. I wasn't trying to dog you, nor did I know your circumstance, so no worries. You are definately jumping into this hobby head first, try to do as much research into what you are getting into before going much further. Read up on turbocharging and how it works along with all the other parts associated with the kit you are buying or have bought. Learn how all the parts work together to make your car scare the crap out of you and your passenger. Learn what role the tuner plays in the whole process and how they and their skills are a huge piece of the puzzle that leads to you being incredibly happy or extremely disappointed. Moral of the story...do as much research as you can on this subject, it will save you money, time, and frustration. Good luck Frank.
