Cobb Tuned at Akuma Motorsports

Hey guys I just got my car tuned by Akuma Motorsports yesterday. Picked up some HP but the main thing is the way the car was running in the Lower rpms lots of power loss. Now the car runs amazing. Sorry for the bad quality pic but the scanner i have here at work sucks, you should be able to make out the number without too much of an issue.

Mods are: Injen Intakes, FI Long Tube Headers, FI Catback.

Solid line is before and dotted line is after.

Looks like a great improvent.

Wow... are you getting neck snapping throttle response under 3k? Is it a more linear transition? It stinks to get out accelerated by "weaker" cars during casual driving (under 3k RPM).

With the mods that I had without the tuning the car in the lower rpms just ran like crap felt like the car was pulling timing.. You can easily see it in the graph where 3800rpm and under the hp and tq values just take a dive. With the Tune the figures are much more linear and the throttle response is great as is the power.

For thos of you who want to compare to dynojet numbers the dynojet dynos about 12% higher. plug in the numbers and you get 336whp/263

your tq seems way low , but what do I know...

very nice gains from the tune though... Tony says his headers and exhaust doesnt require a tune, is it possible that low end nonsense was all caused by the intake ?

thats the first I have seen of this 370 being hurt that much down low from mods though... interesting

tq is right where it should be It was done on a mustang dyno and they read lower than the normal dynojet people normaly use on here. The power loss in the lower rpms was definitely caused by the combination of the intake and test pipes I had on the car prior to the headers. When I installed the Injen intakes the car started running like crap in the lower rpms but I didnt get it tuned because I knew a week later I was installing the Headers.

Stock Intakes and Full exhaust you should be fine but the second you install an intake you start getting wacky A/F ratios and the car doesnt like it with all the mods combined. If your planning on getting a tune like I did then its not really a problem.

Nice numbers, the guys at Akuma are cool in my book.

Wow you picked up almost 40ft/lbs of torque and 10hp in the low to midrange area. That's insane.

^^ Yes, very nice gains!
