Question on resetting the ECU and adaptives.

I have a question for someone that really knows these cars, how do the "adaptives" work for these VQ's? Can I "reset" the computer*, and if so what does that do? Are there a number of parameters that the computer "learns" over time or are they all set in stone?

Does anyone have a list of the adaptives?
Is the computer "learning" all the time or does the engine have to be at normal operating temperature first?
Does the transmission also have it's own set of adaptives or no?
How often are the adaptives recalculated?
Are there different adaptives for the two modes Drive and DriveSport?

*I do know I can reset the computer, I just haven't done it yet. Also now starting to wonder how many people reset the computer and really know what it's doing.

D = Drive
DS = DriveSport = Manual Mode

What's so hard to understand?....LoL

Electronically controlled 7-speed automatic with Driver Sport (DS) mode. Driver-adaptive learning algorithm senses driving style and adjusts automatic shifting accordingly. Manual shift mode offers sequentially selected manual gearshifts and Downshift Rev Matching

Maybe the 370Z does not have two modes for the automatic transmission, sorry about that. Move on to the other six questions if you know the answers.
