How do you do a proper dyno comparison?

I've read that after after you do a mod, the ECU takes a bit to "learn" and correct itself. I know that resetting the ECU will speed up this process but my question is: What is the proper way to do this if you are going to do a baseline dyno, do a mod, and then dyno to see the results?

Will I have to drive the around for 30 min after the mod, before dynoing it again?

Others have said that it just takes several dyno pulls for the corrections for the ecu to adjust.

Thoughts/Experiences?

Just reset the ECU, pull the negative cable hit the brakes 3 or 4 times and then attach the cable back to the battery and you should be good.

Or you can detach the negative cable and let the car sit for 30 mins.

Either way works. They the ecu will start learning the new mod from there.

I would think either way you would want to drive the car abit to get the ECU to adjust to the new readings its getting before you do the after dyno.

One respected tuner thinks that the WOT never changes and does not make adjustments unless you tune via an access port while another on a different thread said that's not the case
