K&N part # HP-1008. So says the interwebs.

I bought the filter and a case of Castrol Edge but, right before I put her up the lift I remembered my sales agent said the first change was on him. So I took it in and let Nissan do the work. So the next change I will be switching to full synthetic and a K&N filter.

Sidebar: Has anyone ever heard that you should change your oil filter every second oil change?

Since the Z is a Japanese car I usually read associated threads from back to front.

Change it every time you change your oil! Other wise you could have a piece of metal lodged in the dirty filter, that could recirculate back into your engine. You don't want that!

^ +1 Ditto. No way I would ever run new oil through a used oil filter!
