Ive emailed Cobb to ask about their maps, guess what?

No repsonse yet, imagine that.

whoa boy, i had some work done there before, none of their mechanics were ASE certified, all college kids, and they said they can get a stripped bolt off? maybe you should buy one of them grabber socket thingamajigs and let them use it?

Red370 04-05-2010 04:41 PM

I told them about the bolt and that that thingamajig might work so I hope they do OK, if they cant get it then they dont get paid.

My situation is the same. Paid for the AP and since that time no response to email and no answer to calls at both AAM's and Rob's numbers. I was assured that I would get an email with receipt for payment and tracking info. I'm not having a panic attack just yet but I'm not pleased.

Red370 04-06-2010 08:33 PM

the last time they ran out it took them a week to get another shipment from Cobb, then about 5 business days from them shipped to you, give it two weeks, if no AP, then raise hell. Theyre good guys to deal with, so dont sweat it just yet gentlemen.

gpa7pk 04-06-2010 08:37 PM

Can I quote you on that?

And they will continue doing their non-response. They don't have the maps because they either don't have the talent for doing the 370Z maps or they never had the intention of producing them in the first place. They may have promised on something knowing they wouldn't be delivering probably to resolve an under-capitalized situation. They have had at least 1.5 years since the car came out and at least a year lead-time and the bottom line is THE TOTALLY UNDISPUTABLE FACT that they still haven't produced the maps.

They make a good programmer for the 370Z but that is where it all ends....It would be great if they would finally just come clean on it instead of trying to stave-off a potential legal fupar for false advertsing or baiting the consumers. :shakes head:

Exactly the same situation for me.

Prosport Gauges 04-06-2010 09:23 PM

I called and actually spoke to someone. I guess they dont have a tuner for the 370z yet :/

Anyways, it does show on the website there are no maps for the car yet so why did you even buy it?

I wouldn't really care that much but they already whacked my cc for it :shakes head: I just wish they would give heads up on the people who's already paid and let them know whatz going on. Not to much to ask is it?

They told me they wont whack the CC unless they are shipping. If I had to wait then they said they would wait to whack CC.

Read through the thread, it was purchased from Altered Atmosphere.

Agreed, if AAM can do some maps, and Im sure they are very basic at this point, Cobb could too. Maybe AAM should take the lead and break the VVEL.

AAM can give you a map according to your mods, but Im sure its a basic map, prolly some timing and AFR changes for the most part.

I was told the same thing but checked my cc and saw they charged me for it already. It is a good deal, I just hope they haven't forgotten me as I still have not been able to get in touch with them (AAM).

gpa7pk 04-08-2010 09:40 AM

I still can't get a response from AAM and part of their website is down. Does anyone live in the Gaithersburg, MD area that could check to see if they are still there?

Vegitto-kun 04-09-2010 08:57 AM

Red370 04-09-2010 04:31 PM

See, I told yall not to worry, AAM is a pretty stand up company. Demand is pretty high for the AP's lately, yall can thank me later.

Vegitto-kun 04-09-2010 05:48 PM

So has Cobb actually made any progress on their tuning? And would it be any different than your tuning? I dont understand why they cant do what you guys are doing and putting the files on thier site for others to DL. They should pay you guys to make the maps for the different bolt on mods and put them on their site or something, so we can just DL them as we do or undo mods. Or you all could do that.

Dr.Awkward 04-15-2010 10:56 AM

Hey thanks guys and yes I placed the order with Will over the phone a couple Saturdays ago.
