Ecutek Issues
Hi all. I have been experiencing some nuisance issues with the Ecutek app and interface with my car. I often use the app to display the dashboard for various details on car performance. I'm sure most here do the same along with data logging.
Over the entire timeframe I have had Ecutek installed I occasionally get an error "Batch Error: Negative Response from the ECU" and I lose connection between the app and car. Nearly every time I close the app and restart it and the connection will reconnect and everything will work. Sometimes this occurs 2-3 times within the first 5 minutes of a drive cycle and then stabilizes and works flawlessly until I turn off the car. On a rare occasion I can't get the app and ECU to connect at all for a drive cycle and it get the error every time I close and restart the app/connection. I have reached out to Ecutek directly and performed several diagnostic checks they have recommended to no avail. The issue continues and they don't have a clear path to solve it. Maybe it's just buggy? I have updated the app and my Ecutek software to the most recent updates. Any ideas or similar experiences from the collective 370Z braintrust? Car runs great and no other issues just this annoyance.. Thanks |
Sorry to hear of your difficulties. Wish they'd made the damn dashboard available in landscape mode already like EVERYTHING else. I've never been able to use it being my tablet is mounted horizontally. :shakes head:

You have to select landscape when designing your dashboard. It's an option. You have to do that first though.
