Default U1024 with ecutek?

Hello i recently got this code as soon as i flashed the ecu with an ecutek tune, car is a 2013 with a little under 18k miles it has never came up in the past so i feel like it has something to do with ecutek it runs and drives fine as far as i can tell. I thought about flashing to stock and reinstalling to see but i haven't got that far yet, help if you can, thanks

I found 9 links on the forum that deal with that code, one of them would get you in the area. Most of them seem to deal with UpRev problems, no one has reported a problem with ECUTEK, which would make me suspect your tuner 'said' he used ECUTEK, but really used UpRev. (I'm a suspicious azzhole anyway). The code says that the VVEL is not communicating via the CAN link. There are several folks that are tuned on ECUTEK, including folks that are boosted, so IMHO, I'd try going back to the stock map and see what happens. If it clears, then I'd politely question your tuner, maybe he made a mistake....

I'm doing remote tuning with a very well respected tuner, and i am also boosted, also thought about contacting ecutek directly and ask them

First thing I'd do is check the wiring and connectors between the VVEL controller and the ECU. A wire may have been broken or a connector us not plugged in properly. FSM (link in sig) will have wiring diagrams, pinouts, physical locations, etc.

Send a log over to your tuner. He should be able to see something in the logs, make adjustments and have you reflash it.

Who?

I am always suspicious whenever I hear claims about tuners or shops being top notch without any names mentioned...

Have you contacted Seb? The couple times my sc z threw codes, I sent him logs and he made adjustments/corrections to the tune, I reflashed the ecu and it was all good.

Well, it's definitely not your tuner lol. Seb is the best there is.

Good luck sorting out the issue. I'd check wiring per SouthArk's suggestion.
