Ecutek Pops and Bangs
Does anyone use the "pops and bangs" feature of the Ecutek Ecu Connect? Also is it possible to use the feature without the Bluetooth dongle... as in can a tuner create a map that does the same thing?
|
Does that even work on a Z? I've only ever seen the GT-R do it with EcuTek.
|
I'm pretty sure that is a tuner added map. I don't think that it is a standard racerom feature.
|
What does this feature do exactly?

And this would be a "feature"?
|
Sounds pointless, if you want to backfire go FI:rofl2:

The dump of fuel cools the cylinders after a long pull. Nice feature for a racecar, merely looks cool on a street car.
|
I want this! a lot of new cars (stock) have this.

You know I thought the Feature was stupid too until you revealed that bit of information. After I do wot pulls to the top of 5th I can physically see my temp gauge go up a few notches until I let off the throttle. I might have to activate this feature during my next tune haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I just emailed Seb to ask him if we are able to have this. I would love to have this option. I had this on my 335" Burbles" was what the option was called.
|
:( well not for us yet, I asked him to let me know if this ever becomes available.

Raising these values to say 5000rpm when the coolant temp is hot will encourage pops and bangs during gear change and decal conditions. it's also doable during launch control: Adjustments are provided that allow you to enrich the AFR and retard the timing when the vehicle is stationary in order to create pops and bangs. This adjustment is removed as soon as the vehicle starts to move. The question lies in ethics and liability. |
Sooooooooooooooooo, when will your services be offered for a flame
map :D :D |
my regular map has lots of pops and bangs....
