Ecutek and the base 370z
 

Just hoping someone can chime in here,can the base 370z without SynchroRev matching take advantage of the features like Flat foot shifting and Launch control?Thanks in advance.

Ecutek is actually very responsive over email. I would just ask them and then report back here for future searches. =)

I got my reply from Ecutek,they confirmed that these features will NOT work with the base model without synchrorev matching.Unless someone can chime in a say they actually did it,I am going to assume they are right.

Well the plot thickens,I contacted Seb at Specialty-Z and he said u absolutely can use those features on a base without synchrorev matching.Go figure:rofl2:

Considering such features could be added to the 86 and WRX, as well as auto-blip (not quite the same as rev match), not sure what the limitation is for a base Z. It's an electronic throttle no matter how you cut it.

Sounds like we need to get Seb and Ecutek on the line together for the benefit of everyone.

Ecutek has exchanged a few emails with me,they are following up on this.The last email I got they admitted that if the base model has a switch at both the top and bottom end of travel for the clutch(it does) then it should work.I told them to contact Seb to confirm it for themselves.

I'm bringing my touring version to get it tune. Any follow-up on this? I was told as well that they can't add any of the racerom features because they are controlled with the S mode button.

If Seb says it can be done, then it can be done. You can always email him to confirm. He is incredibly responsive.

I've done a base model with ECUTek that had the flat foot shifting and LC. I know when I firstbecame a tuner for ecutek, I read that it wasn't applicable for the base models, but I went ahead and flashed his car, and viola, it has it.

I have a base with flat foot shifting and launch control with Uprev ARC license. If Uprev can do it I'm pretty sure Ecutek can too.

another base model here with launch control and flat foot shifting tuned by Seb. when i was tuned i thought i didn't have it but to activate lc vdc has to be off and you need to stomp on the gas. if you pussy foot it it will not activate. for flat foot shifting you obviously have to be going wot as well.
