Ecutek hiccup

I've had my tune for 2 years or so now. No issues. I leave it set to map 3. The Z doesn't get driven much, 2-3 times a month typically. We were going to meet some people for dinner and I notice pretty much right away that it isn't reacting right. Sluggish, poor throttle response, limited power. I'm with my wife, driving casual, I can tell something is off. Then the check engine light starts flashing in short burst. Prior experience tells me that ecutek is letting me know the engine is knocking. It was a short 10 min drive to town. When I parked, I checked the map setting and it was at 1. I believe that should be stock, not sure why the car would act as poorly even in that map. I switched it back to map 3, then turned valet on and off just to make sure it wasn't on. Car has been fine since. I don't know what happened, makes me wonder. At least it was a simple fix.

Changing maps without user input sounds like a power problem - you may have lost power long enough for the map selection params to reset. First thing I'd do is give the battery and terminals a good checkup.
Edit: A power loss could also explain the sluggishness - ECM lost tuning params and had to relearn.

If battery is OK, I'd next look for a wiring problem.

But I'm no expert on Ecutek so YMMV.
