Low dyno numbers, would like some opinions

Hi everyone I recently got my 370 uprev tuned and was quite dissapointed at the numbers(will post dyno sheet in a bit). My 370 is N/A with Stillen catback exhaust, Stillen gen3 cai, and Motordyne art pipes. With these mods I expected to definitely be over the 300 whp mark. But with the tune I ended up at 280 whp, and before the tune it was only at 264. I cant imagine why the number would be so low. Tuning was done on a dynapack dyno.

Who did your tune and what software?

Jtune performance was the shop that tuned my car and they used the uprev software to tune it. Pretty sure it wasnt the shop though considering I did get 14 whp from the tune.

What was your stock baseline?

Elmo370z 07-09-2017 08:06 AM

Probably a mustang dyno

It was a dynapack which reads high, or low, and everything in between.

I didnt do a stock baseline without any mods but the baseline before the tune was 267.2 and after. it was 281.4 whp

Im having trouble uploading a picture of the dyno sheet.

Test it on a dynojet. Those dynos are consistent

16 hp from a tune seems pretty good whats the problem? Go somewhere else and have a dyno run done if you really care about having a sheet with a bigger number on it. Every single dyno will read differently. Some read lower or higher than others. Some unscrupulous shop owners have even been known to change correction factors so their dynos read higher so more people will come their (help inflate their egos I guess). The most important thing is you got an apples to apples comparison before and after on the same dyno.

If you are just worried about if being something wrong with the car (which I doubt), you'll have to get it dynoed elsewhere.

To be honest that would be my biggest concern is that some part of my car isnt functioning properly and that is causing the low numbers.

Your tuner has most likely done other 370s right? Ask him if those numbers are typical? He'll know if thats normal for his dyno or not. We unfortunately wont.

heres the dyno sheet

That torque curve is pretty ugly, I'd agree with going to get another dynode elsewhere
