Can you DIY tune with EcuTek?

I think you have to become an EcuTek Tuner and buy the "professional" software to get full tuning capabilities.

That's what I'm seeing but it's not clear. I'll see when they respond to my email. The YouTube video makes it feel like end user software.

No that is part of the ProEcu Tuning Suite that tuners get.

They have a page on becoming a licensed tuner but pretty sure you need a shop or some setup of that nature. I assume it isn't cheap either.

Not sure where the $900 comes in unless that includes dyno time. A full e-tune with custom maps including updates for a year from Specialty Z is about $650, and worth every dollar of that.

Previously had the Uprev tuner package so I could do it myself but everything with them was suck a cluster fvck I went with Ecutek and haven't looked back.

You do have to become a licensed tuner and it is not cheap lol. Ecutek is superior to programs like Osiris but unless you're boosted Osiris is the better deal.

Some of us have no choice, but to tune by email. It's not ideal, but it beats driving 500 miles to a mediocre tuner or 1500 miles to someone who is good.

Yes, I agree there are many of us who could tune it ourselves, but Ecutek like many companies believes there is a larger value in having a "dealer" network.
