Default ECUTek .vs UpRev Tuner

Ok so I have been doing research on engine management options for the 370Z and it seems options are very limited at this point. The popular choices seem to be ECUTek and UpRev. I used to be a Master Tuner for ECUTek around 10years ago at a local Subaru performance shop (Performance Driven Parts) so I am very familiar with it and how it performs. I also know that as a user you can not touch the maps or make adjustments without the tuner software. The UpRev tuner version does allow the user to tune their own car which is more of what I am looking for especially since there are no ECUTek tuners local to me and would require quite a long trip or I would have to do e-tunes.

So is ECUTek so much better for the Z that giving up the ability to tune your own car worth it? Are there plans for ECUTek to offer user tune options in the near future? I am currently leaning more towards picking up the UpRev tuner but I don't want something that doesn't work as well or will be outdated soon especially when I see quite a few UpRev users switching to ECUTek. I know that ECUTek offers quite a few options that UpRev doesn't but I don't think its stuff I will miss enough to give up the ability to tune my own car.

Thanks in advance!!!
