Too many miles?
I just hit 102k miles on my 2010 Z. The only mod I have are the fast intentions CB's. I'd really like to add the Stillen G3 and a tune from SOHO. Am I doing this too late for this car or is the motor just getting broken in? It runs strong and feels just as good as it did when I bought it 3.5 years ago with 20k on it. Or should I sell and buy a new/newer one and do these mods at that time? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

As long as the engine has been taken care of properly, 102k miles shouldn't be a problem. A UOA can tell you a lot. A compression check would be a good idea.

There's a guy here (90ST) that had 250k yes, 250,000 miles and he said that it is still running great. Keep it and enjoy!

Used Oil Analysis - Blackstone is the company (~$25)
Compression test (~$150-200 depending on your region)

I have 106,500+ on mine and have CBE, intakes and lightweight flywheel. Tune done last year.
Now runs much better than ever. Less oil usage than when it was new.

Great to know all. So you ship the oil sample to Blackstone for analysis?
And Tree....how many miles did you have on it when you installed everything? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |

Go to their website, and have them send you a free shipping kit. Then you just send in a sample of your oil using their shipping container along with a form and payment for the analysis.

Too many miles?
Quote:
Not sure on the intakes. It's probably been 4 years ago. Approximately at 78,000 on the flywheel and 89,000 on the exhaust and tune.

Gained about 30hp. Well worth it in my opinion. Rev match is much quicker after I had the tune done also.

Even as new parts whats worth it will be subjective to the owner/operator, however I see no harm in adding these to vehicle, if anything it will only improve the feel and response
