Default Gains a little low on uprev?

Hey guys, I know my my post count is very low (FNG here). I am a tuner, but I am unfamiliar with Uprev. Being a new Z owner myself, I quickly dived into Uprev.

So this Z is a nismo with the Z1 400 HP kit, along with AAM intake and 3" dual exhaust.

I gave it a street tune before we hit the dyno, and our base line was 300. I know I overlayed this graph wrong (if you look you can see we stopped a little early), but we did another baseline and it was only 302.

After leaning it out, and added some timing, we ended up at 318. After I found the highest HP, I pulled out some more fuel, but couldn't make anymore power.

I do know with the earlier Z cars, they seem to be more happy when you do most the tuning on the MAF tables, however, when I did that originally, this car ended up throwing SES for MAF range. A quick call to UPRev (who was very fast at answering my questions, so kudos to them), they told me when they see that, it's from too much adding or removing on the MAF table.

So a little bit of MAF table, and a little bit of fuel comp, we had rock solid AFR's and no more SES (this was on our street tune). O2's were totally happy +/- 5% on fuel corrections, and we hit the dyno.

So anyway, I see a lot of guys pulling much more power. Another call to UPRev in regards to VVL tables, and they told me that with their tables they didn't see much gains, and it wasn't really worth the time.

I don't want to toot my own horn, but an 18 RWHP is pretty good to me, but I feel like either this dyno reads wrong, or there's somewhere I'm missing some insight. Any ideas here fellas?

Oh, and one other thing, I let it cool down (30 mins) and did another pull with the same result, so I'm sure heat soak isn't the problem.

I'm no tuner,Jon@Z1 performed mine...3" exhaust seems large for N/A engine.
Not familiar with the intake...but he got 19whp from a base; after mods...13:1AFR
Max power was at 7250rpm's

Agreed, I targeted 13:1, but when I added timing, and made no more power, I started to lean it out to 13.2 just to see if there was a difference.

It's so weird because I'm reading most nismo's dyno at the 285-290 range. When I hit the same dyno with mine (13 Nismo, Stillen Gen 2's and Tomei Single Catback only), I only saw 270, and I didn't even touch the ECU on mine.

Why not spend 300 or so to have it tuned by someone else but give them no numbers to target, etc. See what they do, if its better you can re-engineer from the tealtime cipher logs or just go back to your tume.

Sound's like he's a tuner & on the right path...trial & error,,,I don't have the resources & haven't messed with any tuning since the "Carburetor" days....& reading plugs.../dang,getting old.
But i do know that fuel had to be removed from mine to get more power;I'm needing a sey of those Z1 Tuned headers & then back to see my boy's @Z1 Motorsports....ihiryu; you may want to phone Jon@Z1,as they are very friendly & i'm sure he will help you as much as he can.
