EcuTek tune results
I just had my car tuned a week ago and was only able to get 290WHP. my set up is ART test pipes, AAM s line y and mid pipe, nismo AAM short tails and Z1 post maf tubes with k&n drop in filters. I am kind of curious if anyone else has the similar set up and their numbers. also was my tuner supposed to set up all the features as well?(map switching, custom maps, launch control, etc.) because if so they must have skipped it. I got my car tuned at FR Sport in fountain valley. ive seen people with similar set ups get around 310-320 WHP and was hoping mine would be in the same range but I guess not:(

Seems pretty low but idk the dyno. Dynojets run in 4th SAE would be around there with the oem tune. My guess for you on average should be around 300, not 310-320 with that setup. My tuner wouldnt set all that unless it's discussed first hand and im sure that'd drive up the price. However an ecutek tunes already like $800 so id hope that'd be done as my tunes cost around $500 for lisence and one map.

Your in Perris CA?
Fountain valley? Didn't feel like making the drive up to Sebastian huh? His tune includes everything. 290 doesn't sound too off if you have a Y pipe and stock air boxes. |

Sure man all you have to do is call or email him and he will let you know the cost and what he can do for you and how you go about getting him logs, You'll log pulls and email them to him and he will touch up the tune email a flash back to you, you'll reflash the car and then you'll log again. He is very good and you should be all set in 3-4 tunes. All you need to give him is you cars ROM ID and the dongle ID all things you have already. Oh you'll need to download the ECUTEK software to you lap top also. :tiphat: |

Seb is remote tuning my supercharged Z and WOW! He has turned my car into a BEAST! Drives like stock but with almost twice the HP. He does AMAZING work and is very easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Seb is tuning my boosted performance 6766 1.15ar kit now running E85 flex fuel between 11-13 psi. He knows his ****, attentive, probably one of the most knowledgable people on this engine and just an all around badass... cant go wrong with him.

Did Seb fix your Ecutek issue? |

So he tune the car and on a map, Mine is MAP3, with the traction button off, you can right for gas and left foot brake( same time) and the ECU will NOT pull throttle out of the car, If you just mashed the peddle you'd be sitting there doing a burn out. You can find the RPM where the tires dont break loose, just hold it and take you foot off the brake then mash it and it just rips away, Zero bog. :driving: |

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. Tuning the Z is a lot different than it was tuning my Fiat 500 Abarth.
What all would I need to get an EcuTek tuner and having it tuned remotely by this Seb guy you all are talking about. How much does the tuner cost and where do you purchase it? Everywhere I look, they never state the price. Also, this Seb is able to tweak/tune the VVEL as well? Sorry for all of the questions. |
