Cobb tuning question
I bought a 370z that was tuned at a shop with a cobb accessport v2. The previous owner gave me the custom maps and software. However, I'm not able to make changes to the maps. What do I need to be able to do so?

Get rid of it and have the ecu tuned with ECUtek (or Uprev). Cobb hasn't supported the Z34 platform for sometime now.

If it's running good as it is why spend the extra money to have it re-tuned. Did the previous owner give you a cable? That should be your missing piece.

Let's not make assumptions here. I guess I should have included more information in the original post. The car runs great and I do have the cable. However, I would like to change some things (just different breather mods). It doesn't cost me anything to tune the car I just need the same software that a shop has (I think) to be able to do any adjustments to my AF ratio for example...I'm very aware that ECUtek is better but I don't need it. It's improvement would not be worth the money. I'm just looking for some software is all.

After some reading I found that Accesstuner Pro is what a shop would use to tune the car, and that they can also lock the maps to prevent adjustment. I'm sure this is what was done to the maps on my accessport. So the question is, does anyone have the software or know how to unlock the maps?

If you know any WRX / STI guys you might want talk to them. I know Cobb is pretty popular on that platform. I would think they know the ins and outs pretty well and can tell you if a work around exists.
Best of luck |
I do know some STI guys, I'll chat them up and see if they know anything. Thanks
