haltech elite 2500

Does anyone have any input on this? Is this standalone a universal or plug n play? 1life built by dynosty is the only one i know of that runs this standalone.

1life by Dynosty is piggy back not stand-alone as I understand the situation.

Haltech had a Z34 in their Sydney R&D centre before Xmas last year but that was to enable their Elite to run a VQ37VHR engine in a race off-road vehicle, not a road car.

If you want to retain OEM dash, HVAC, entertainment, Cruise Control, VDC, EBD, TC and associated nannies, you have no real option but to go piggy-back.

The R&D for Haltech to CAN-sniff is 10 days or so (chargeable to the customer) and there is no real guarantee that everything will work - although Haltech do have a pretty good track record

I gotcha. Thanks for the info sir. Damn this platform lol

Now supposedly someone is coming up with a full can bus system for the haltech.

Elmo370z 07-15-2020 07:58 PM

They do have can bus integration, but you still would need to come
Up with a jumper harnes or create your own

From what I've gather the Elites do not support dual DBW, but you can get around that with an external module. I do know they have VVEL tuning via the OEM VVEL module/CANBUS, so I'm sure they have done some R&D with Nissan's CAN.

If you want to run full standalone in the Z34 your current only options are Syvecs, EMtron & MoTeC. everyone else is playing catch up.

Haltech has can protocol, everyone is just stuck on Ecu tek. Yeah I was this close to pulling the trigger on the motec unit.

Low ticket item. This platform has been reduced to kids who who to pop, bang and flame map everywhere.

Yeah well soon as my money tree blooms I’m switching to the motec since it’s plug n play and can bus friendly and switch to a bmw abs System to forever get rid of ice mode
