Are ECUtek and Uprev tunes reversible
Hola members. I'm thinking about investing in one of these 2 tuners. My question is, are these able to reflash the ecu back to stock calibrations after being flashed? I don't have too much experience with reflashes, just piggybacks like the aem fic. Also, has anyone had any issues reflashing back to stock in the event that they needed to have warranty work done at the dealer?? That's my major concern and deciding factor for these tuner softwares. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply bud. Do you know if there's any issues if any dealer warranty work needs to be done? Like will anything pop up showing that the ecu has been reflashed by an outside source?

however both times were after my tune with full exhaust, no cats, and intakes. nothing was said to me about it on the recall trip. the tranny fluid change was not warranty type work so nothing they really could have said then besides thank you for your money.

I've had a headliner replaced under warranty and they didn't say anything about my tune. I'm also in the beginning stages of transmission replacement under warranty and the dealer hasn't said anything yet.

Very true. I know that they won't check for anything like that but if I have a sensor failure where they need to test monitors or run some sort of diagnostic, I wonder if that could cause a red flag. I still have a lot of warranty left and I'd rather not void it if at all possible.

Very true. I see that you're still N/A with a tune. How would you rate your gains from just a tune alone? I've seen mixed numbers. Some are fairly substantial and some are only 10-15 hp which really isn't worth it imho

From what I've read, the tune isn't really about peak numbers. People who have one will swear it was worth it for the improved throttle response alone.

Definately understandable. It just doesn't seem that cost effective of a mod for the price for such a minimal gain. You know what I mean?

You also have to account for the other features an ECUtek tune would offer. Valet mode, launch control, multiple maps for different octanes. I plan on getting one eventually. Going to do tune and HFCs all at once.

$99 for the actual update and $99 for Nissan labor to press a fuckin button to load the file. Pretty messed up right? Wish I made $99 for 10 seconds of work.
