Super happy with results! http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/...7/IMG_2077.jpg

Nice gains! What kind of Dyno do they use? and how much did you end up paying for the tune if you don't mind me asking?

I believe he charges 500

Elmo370z 02-16-2016 03:31 PM

If you don't mind me asking what was your A/F ratio?

VDesi07 02-16-2016 05:27 PM

Going directly through Martin and driving to him in Tampa, I was charged $450.

Here is my A/F ratio chart. Running an even 13 across my whole rpm band! Redline before tune, blueline after.

the 326 hp number is from dyno jet STD

I'm at 317 hp for SAE

I went back and got my car tuned after seeing VDesi07's pickup... I blame this all on you!

Both dyno graphs are the same, just different corrections. Disregard the other lower hp baseline graphs, those are two different runs.

First image is in STD: 327WHP and 270lbft TQ
Second image is in SAE: Essentially 320whp and 264lbft of TQ

Mods:
Z1 Intakes
AAM Resonated Test Pipes
AAM Midpipes
AAM Short Tails
Tuned.

For the record, the car is too loud and don't like the sound. I need to fix that.

Awesome man! Very similar gains, must mean the mods we both did are bearing similar results. Good to know. I love my sound. Maybe it's the AAM Midppe as I have stock.

It's definitely WHP.

VDesi07 02-18-2016 12:30 PM

Did you get tuned by Martin?

SS_Firehawk 02-18-2016 12:42 PM

Yes

i can second that. I might give martin a call to see about a re-tune.

VDesi07 02-18-2016 06:04 PM

Yea man, Martin does a great job!

The AAM Midpipe is awesome. When I removed the cats for the resonated pipes, it got too aggressive. The sound gets very sharp and piercing between 3500 and 5000rpm when I give it anything more than half throttle. I hear ticking, like an exhaust leak, but I saw them tighten every nut. There is some rasp, not a lot, but enough to make its self known. I heard videos with ART pipes, they sound much better than than mine. Just an FYI.

Yea man, I definitely get a similar noise from the Art Pipes but its so aggressive that Ive gotten to love it. Maybe ill look into a mid pipe down the road. Need to take care of the shitty speakers in this car first.

Lmao, I had the sam set up with the standard Nismo exhaust Art pipes and short tails. The short tails lasted a month before I sold them and got the AAM 2.5" exhaust. That combo was pretty damn good imho.

Yup, I did a review with a video in the exhaust section or search YouTube zdog.

Lol, I'm thinking of finding an axleback portion and selling the short tails. I'm afraid that if I just weld in some resonators it won't do enough, and the welds might be junk.

I'll see what options I have. I could always do resonated HFC's too. I can deal with the drone, I just roll the window down. But hell, I can't gas it past 3500 or it sounds like a two stroke motor with a trombone attached to its exhaust. It finally starts cleaning up at 6,000rpm, but by that time, everything in the car is vibrating and I pissed off an entire neighborhood lol.

Yea I've seen them! I think these vids were why I decided to go with the art pipes with my short tails! Great video!
