Yeah; Jon does Ecutek,,,a bit more involving & cost more.
It may be that they are new to the software...Up-rev at Z1 is almost 1/2 the cost of Ecutek.
(Hope i didn't screw up that imfo)

I'm gonna add to this;; From what i understood-is that the Ecutek tune would probably not benefit me,for no more upgrades than i have.
I know to get the different maps-it did cost more.
OKAY :)

Check out all the built motors and everything they've got running around NC. They're the only people that I let near my car lmao. Stand up people are hard to come by. If you feel sketchy about them about something you've "heard" then just go elsewhere. Don't spread rumors.

It is what I have heard. Not spreading rumors. Just telling it how it is. A guy with a 350 took his car there to be tuned can't remember if it was turbo or sc but the tune was apparently terrible and had to be fixed elsewhere. I personally can not speak for their work but I am happy to hear what paying customers have to say. Just like those I have pm'ed personally on my experience from two reputable shops one in GA and another in Charlotte NC to other forum members the experience I had and why I wouldn't use them. Both those shops are here on the forum and get a lot of business either way of good or bad experience. That's great they did good by you but don't think that there isn't someone out there that had a bad encounter.

Subscribed. I need to find a good ECUTek tuner that will do Nitrous.

Sorry for the late reply, I actually thought I answered this. It was done at there location on a DynoJet.

Check out Home – RobTuned I've been talking to him about tuning my car with ecutek. Pricing is good as anyone else and the man has quite a reputation.

that was my bad man. By rumor, i meant spreading what someone else told you not really knowing what happened. When you use words like some guy, sc or turbo, apparently terrible, it shows that you just heard those things and now you’ve got a bad taste in your mouth from that one guy. Im not speaking for just myself. I’m speaking from the carolina Z club, all the members he’s tuned on here, all my personal and non personal friends he’s tuned, all 3 of my cars. Doesn’t sound like Nick at soho to send someone home with a tune that would need fixing elsewhere. Plus he gaurentees his tunes and will fix anything you seem to notice or not like while street driving. Whenever you have a business some people will have bad things to say, thats just how it goes. As i also own a business i know how that is. thats the only reason I responded when you claimed for their shop to be trash because thats for from the truth.

Im sitting here telling you that they do awesome work for our community and that there are numerous good reviews about the shop. They’re the shop that you can trust in charlotte and everyone here (charlotte) knows that. I’ve been around there for a long time and ive never seen them slip up… as for the shop on here who did you wrong, i dont even have to guess… i know who it is without you saying lol soho is the one that fixes their **** ups. But dont give someone a bad rep based off of what “some guy” told you. Nick at soho knows how to tune, my buddies 1000hp g35 vq40, that they built, runs and drives like a stock car and still makes good *** power safely… i highly doubt he couldn’t tune a 350 with a bolt on kit. They’ve built and now sell their own kit that makes good power, which is why I’m buying it. They actually track all there cars with their turbo kits and they run phenomenal. Please dont spread that they’re Trash without reasoning. they’re nissan gurus. Dont forget they’re the only shop fast intentions also trusts which is why they’re the only dealer in our area for fast intentions… which is where fast intentions tells you to go if you buy there kit down here. You have one guy. i have an army of people. I understand that you heard something bad. if thats the case then just choose else where. Don't take a persons name and throw trash on it based off of theories. We take our community seriously here so sorry for the essay. heres davids G btw. love this car. vq40 single turbo on race gas

matts track car

Check out the work for yourself. and again I’m not trying to convince you to go there. I’m just telling it as it is
https://www.facebook.com/Sohomtrsprts/photos

Heres their thread on ecutek. look at the smoothing and correction on the charts. they’re not hiding **** and the tune is nice and smooth. the proof is in the pudding sir…

also, heres another look at something he was tuning when i was getting a baseline for my G.

Anyways, best of luck to you man! i hope the nitrous build goes well and that you can get someone to tune it. ill leave your thread now lol

Hey Gregor12,

Thank you for all the information about the shop and your personal opinion and experience. I may give them a call to see what they say. Also what I am saying isn't made up. Please try not to negate the fact that a friend of my friend has a bad experience at their shop. Just bc you find it hard to believe doesn't mean it's not true. GTM was awesome then went down in flames. It could happen to anyone as no one is perfect. I appreciate your enthusiasm and loyalty for your guys shop which speaks volumes. It is not a theory that a customer went in and I apologize I just confirmed it was on all motor vehicle and made 2 hp tuned on pump 93. I mean I understand from a business stand point taking care of your customers so your reputation spreads but I'd also take extra care of people that are in a large group that know each other and are potentially cash cows. Anyways you are a hardcore fan of the shop and that is cool but don't get defensive when someone comes on the forum and says someone did a bad job.

Didn't mean to come off as an *** if I did. Saying that they're trash was very dramatic compared to 1 guy had a bad experience where he only made 2 hp more. And 2 hp? Was he tuned before he went there? Im not even defending soho it just sounds like bull. No offense. The only reason I responded was because you didn't post why and I was curious as to what you heard. Don't forget I'm a paying customer there too lol. On a NA car all you can do is flat line you a/f and keep timing in a safe place. The car is going to make what it can make. When they tuned my 370z (no mods) I picked up 8.6hp/10.3lb/ft up top. But the major improvement was from 3-5k rpm. There was a lot more area under the curve and you could feel it. Told him not to make it aggressive because I was going to drive the **** out of it lol. That's when he said he doesn't tune for just power but for safety. That's why I always send people there for tunes. I've Seen other shops here mak big numbers but only for so long. Thanks for clearing up what happened. That's all I wanted to know.

Same here.....thats probably the 1st bad thing Ive heard about Seb (being too pricey).....he seems to be one of the most respective tuners I have read about on and off the forums....He may be pricey compared to others but ur pretty much paying for the product and the rep he's gained as a tuner.....Not saying u can't get a good tune for a better price, but to most consumers I guess his popularity and proven work comes with some sort of reassurance that people are willing to pay a little extra for.

V8Killer 02-10-2016 12:02 PM

Anybody else have any other suggestions? I called SOHO and spoke with Nick and he doesn't feel comfortable tuning with nitrous using the ECUTEK.

Gregor12 02-11-2016 12:32 PM

What about seb? Looks like a few guys know that he's legit

Check out Rob at top speed Motorsports. He is the owner of Rob Tuning. He did a great job with my car and another friends car. He had one of the best prices of anyone I spoke with and he's in Alpharetta Ga.
