Minneapolis/surrounding Tuners?
 

Can anyone suggest a good VQ motor tuner here in the twin cities area? I would like a shop that has lots of VQ motor experience and also experience first hand from any of you guys that have dealt with the shops.

Are you using UpRev?

If so, a bit north but Shane at DB Tuning has a fair bit of experience and is a good option. Ron at RS Motors is also a good option and I would highly recommend either honestly.

I would second the crew at DB Tuning. I have had them work on my 14' Nismo and they did a solid job. I'm going to be back up there this spring for an oil cooler install.

Thanks for the info guys was just searching for some dyno tuning around MN...ill probably go to DB performance in Rogers although I live 3 hours away in hibbing...I don't suppose there is a dyno tuner in duluth mn is there? Would love not to have to drive 3 hours for this lol

Anyways I have a 14 nismo and just got long tube nismo intakes, fast intention resonated test pipes, and fast intentions CBE...I don't know much about tuning but I assume it would be a good idea to get a dyno tune at this point?...I don't plan on much more engine work so I figured a tune was in order? Any thoughts on any of this thanks guys

I've heard some good things about DB Performance. They tuned GrooveStyle's GTM Gamma Motorsports twin-turbo set-up, so I would assume they know what they are doing.

The general consensus here is that after 3 breather mods, you need to get a tune. Since you're up to 3 (CAI, Test Pipes, Catback), it would be a good idea to get one, especially if you don't plan on doing much more.

Go to Shane. I was one of the first to get Ecutek tune from him. Very knowledgeable and cool guy. Plus the crew over there is awesome as well

Yep, we send all our MN clients up to DB for tuning. We do not dyno or tune here

DB Tuning comes to mind they are a reputable place for your tuning needs. I know two peoples Z’s they tuned with success.
