Rom id
Hi guys ,
Question? Is it possible that I have my ECU changed( warranty replaced it) and I have the same ROM ID? I took a ROM dump to send to my tuner and I looked at the files name and it's the same as my initial dump I did 6 months ago. So multiple ECUs can have the same ID ?

Yeah I think lj is on the right track. I was told they can be the same it is just based off of things like the year, production date, AT/MT, and model of the car. Everyone with the same info should have the same ROM ID, my understanding.

If nobody comes up with an answer, try searching the web for Nissan "ROM ID"

To be honest I think it would flash over no problem. Only thing I see holding it back maybe would be a license issue. Did you take the license off of the old ECU before it got replaced?
