Sorry guys had my grand child dump orange juice on laptop killed it dead. Just got it replaced last weekend.
I sent my logs to Seb after work so like 6pm Mountain time here and with in an hour he sent a revised tune. Very smooth acceleration, and trans shifts much harder when jumping on it.
I will do some more logging and resent this weekend although it is night and day already from factory. I love the throttle response!
I can't believe how fast Seb responded, especially after how long it took me to send him my logs.

Seb is the man no doubt about it.

What's the price for EcuTek?

wideglideleon 03-25-2016 05:34 PM

I think I paid about $800 for remote tuning from Sebastian from Specialty -Z.
The guy knows what he's doing and responds very quickly.

what mods have you done before tuning? I have an AT7 as well and only have short ram and exhaust. I don't plan on doing any more mods just looking for a better driving experience since I spend a lot of time in the car.

Full CBE exhaust including High flow cats, stock headers, G3 Stillen intake that's all the engine mods I have done. I really like the throttle response and the smooth power band since the tune.

Do it. Seb is the freaking man. Honest as the day is long and one hell of a tuner. Highly recommended as he is the only one who will touch the Z. It's been boxed up and shipped to him also. Great place.:driving:

Update went for emission testing to re register my car and they failed me, apparently could tell the ECU was tempered with. the print out states (Vehicle has received a tamper fail status based in information received from the vehicle's On Board Diagnostic system ODB).
I will reflash the stock tune and try it again and let everyone know what they say if anything.
Seb said he has never seem this before.
That's AZ for ya.

Sub'd to see what happens here. I'm assuming you are NA? I have no chance, might have to say I live with Bob up there in Flag when emission testing comes up for me! What are people doing to get around this? I'm sure there's other boosted out there than need to pass emissions?

BboyZ 05-10-2016 03:12 PM

WOW, that weird.. I have boosted RSX for a long time, might not be relevant but never had any problem on emission. only thing I can tell is when my rsx first emission it has KPRO already.

wideglideleon 05-10-2016 03:16 PM

Yes I am NA. Nothing special with my mods Berk cats, FI catback and Stillen gen 3 intake and ECUTEK tune.
Weird for sure!, as stated earlier I will update what happens after reflashing back to factory tune.
Between this and my not so good luck with Z1's upper control arms the mod bug is fast leaving my system.

Sounds good man. The risk here is when you fail they put a big "FAILED" note on your VIN so there's no getting around it anymore. They want to see if fixed. Your issue isn't too costly, but I have no cats and ecutek tuning :( Won't have to deal with it for a few more years but will be curious to see how it goes! Good luck bro!

wideglideleon 05-11-2016 11:42 AM

I flashed the ECU this am back to factory, I forgot how bad the throttle response is from the factory arrrgh. I need to put around a hundred miles or so then Ill make another trip to the emission facility. I will keep everyone informed if that fixes it or if I need to go get a waver.

ZRed 05-11-2016 12:09 PM

Here's another option, just move states

This used to happen with Uprev too. In Illinois they will fail you if the sensors for downstream o2 sensors are disabled. Wonder if its the same thing?
