Uprev VS Ecutek
Can someone please tell me what is better? what are the main differences between the two?
What are the pros and cons with the two? Im looking to get a tune and just want to go with the best one. As for future plans after my Z is payed off I plan on going FI.. Thank you. |
The main variable is the tuner. That being said, the general consensus seems to be swinging towards Ecutek for having a bit more in the software for the tuner to manipulate. Several forum members have threads documenting their swap from Uprev to Ecutek and their reasoning. Try searching ;)
I think Uprev's biggest pro at this point is that you can tune it yourself if you want. Ecutek does not offer that option. |

Yes tuners are all different but the total control of the timing in ECUTEK put them over the top. I went from one to the other and pick up 16 WHP :) power is always there with UREV the car felt sluggish sometimes, Or at least till a romp on it a few times.

How much do they normally run? and does it work the same a uprev? as in Can I flash my car with my current mods and send them in and they send me a new map based off my data?

Hey Wonka, long time no see. Have you researched tuners in the Chattanooga area yet? I'm curious about Custom Concept Motorsports over in Soddy, but I'll probably end up going down to Z1 for my tune.
