Ecutek throttle response

I am reading that the new Ecutek tune greatly improves throttle response. I am wondering how big of a difference doe sit make? How does the improvement in throttle response (not the other benefits, just TR) compare to something like a Sprintbooster?

I seen the video clip on the sprint booster & see where it can be beneficial while already rolling; but from a stand-still (unless you have drag tires w/0 rear camber)you may get this.Attachment 108148

A tuner can customize data tables within the ECU to adjust the throttle response, allowing for virtually unlimited adjustments (within a certain range of performance, of course).

The Sprintbooster simply increases the voltage of the pedal position, simulating you pushing the pedal down further than you actually are. Once you push down to a certain point (for illustrative purposes, let's say 80% of the pedal throw), the car will be WOT. The rest of the pedal throw becomes useless.

I got my Ecutek tune over two years ago when I was fully stock except for R2C intakes. I was extremely pleased with the throttle response improvement. I have the opportunity to occasionally drive other 370Z, and I can say the bog in the throttle is terrible every time I drive one. However, I have no experience with SB, so I cannot speak directly to the resulting throttle response improvements in comparison.

For $200, SB might be just the ticket for some. A tune offers more versatility down the road if you plan on doing more bolt-ons :twocents:

I've never tried Sprintbooster, but regarding throttle response with EcuTek, the difference is night and day.

I agree 100%. Kind of makes you wonder why in the hell didn't they just make the throttle response better right from the factory. Having said that, just like "jar" said, with a tune you get the better throttle with the convenience of changing it down the road when you add performance goodies to the car.
