I agree! It looks like he gained that torque back from the Stillen header install.

Hmm...I'm not 100% sure on the low-end torque gain. From the graph, it kinda looks like Sharif went WOT at an earlier rpm on the two post-tune runs than he did on the baseline run. About 500 rpm earlier, actually. That alone might account for the higher torque at 3000 rpm; the engine was simply spooled up already at that point. On the other hand, a real gain in low-end torque would account for my butt-dyno impressions.

I am sure you have better response from more aggressive throttle mapping...thats probably why it seems like he went WOT earlier.

Semtex: Did you guys talk about that 8,000RPM limit at all? Advised against it?

He bumped it up to 8000, said I can use it at my discretion. He didn't run all the way to 8000 on the dyno though, I'm noticing.

Do you think there might have been more power to be had had he gone up to 8000 RPMS?

if the torque # stayed the same and didn't fall off, hp would go up yes

Torque is falling off near the end of the run though, so I doubt it would have benefited too much from running it into the 8k redline. I think they were wise and decided to leave the top end a little tame in order to increase longevity.

He didn't want to melt the engine, felt that could be left up to you!

I think you have the strongest N/A car on the boards, congrats...for now. Don't pop the champ till Sat
I think Phimosis actually has the highest numbers on the board for an NA car right now -- 343whp. Induction parts + ECU reflash dyno results

343whp =

Just looked at his dyno graph...he removed the mufflers and was getting over 300whp stock? Sounds like an awfully high baseline to start with, all subsequent #'s suspect? Sorry if this has been rehashed before, I realize it's an old thread.

Right . . . I'm not all that familiar with the dyno he did his tuning on, and I don't really want to get into a debate about the 'worthiness' of his numbers. Threads like that don't typically end well, people get bent out of shape, etc.

I'm just pointing out that there are other NA cars on this forum posting good numbers. Let's leave it at that.

How did Sharif up the rev limiter? From what I understand from reading on here and talking to the guys at UpRev, you can't do that?

From watching my two buddy's dyno pulls with their Z's, they all shut down at around 7500 rpm.

We don't touch throttle mapping on the VHR motors. They already do WOT from a dead stop.
