Off or nearly off in 1st grear for getting off the line, or more commonly, just pulling out into traffic on any uneven surface, and with nice "safe" intervention in higher gears so I can just leave VDC on all day instead of having to remember to turn it back on after I pull out of somewhere.
I believe the traction control intervention setting, which hijacks the oil temperature gauge, applies to all gears; however, I think you are able to change it on the fly. I know this is cumbersome, but it appears to be the only way to have different intervention thresholds for different gears.
