Default new to tuning. (ecutek)

Hello everyone. about 2 years ago i bought my Z and it was previously tuned by uprev from the previous owner. i have done some more breather mods so i would like to get the car retuned. im planning on going with ecutek because of the features and from what other Z owners have said. my question to everyone is where is the best place to get tuned in the east coast? im currently located in MA. another question. If the tuner is too far away can i get an etune? Also what do i have to buy to get started with ecutek? (cable, license, ect) and where can i purchase this stuff, it would be great if you could provide a link. Thank you everyone

Contact John at Visconti Tuning. He's in CT, I believe. He can provide dyno tunes and e-tunes. To get started, you will need to purchase a ProECU Kit -EcuTek ProECU Kit – Visconti Tuning

I can't comment on other tuners in your area, or elsewhere. John is who I used for my e-tunes and I'm definitely happy. Others on the forum have used his services as well. That noted, there are other tuners using EcuTek and you can find them on their website using the dealer locator - EcuTek - Find a Tuner.

Just recently had my EcuTek done at Kaizen, you can read about it here, EcuTek, Nitrous and me!
great place and there in Mass. mailto:sales@kaizentuning.com They will happily answer all your questions. But no, you do not need the cable just the license

I'm most likely going with John @ Visconti Tuning, just need to finish up a couple things before I'm ready.

my original plan was to go to kaizen as they are not that far and they also do wheel alignment which i'm in need of doing. ive heard mix reviews from kaizen so i was a little bit sceptical. i do have one more mod to before i can get my tune and that is long tube headers. i plan on getting the headers this winter and get a tune next spring.

I good tuner needs to be good at the car technically, and good to himself not to overbook his schedule. Overbooking yourself means you give a rush half baked tune to the customer.

I didn't get a half assed tune at all. And he was booked the whole day. Basically everyone had to wait until my car was done. After the dyno we went out and he street tuned for another hr. He started at around 10:30 and I didn't drive out of there until 6:30. He seriously didn't like to be bothered while he works, very serious about his work. So if he doesn't get back to you then and there he's probably tuning someone else car. I'm glad I waited. Not to mention he can tune your car while you're driving remotely. I dunno the choice is yours guys but I vouch for his work.

He can tune remotely. I'm in cali and he's doing my tune process now.

If a tuner has tuned enough cars **** is bound to happen and his/her name thrown under the bus. Even if the problem is not tune related. Just the name of the game. I've had multiple cars with various tunes never had an issue (track cars), but I know the risks.

I may have another tuner go over my logs after the fact. A second opinion never hurts.

How much does it cost on average to get the kit with an etune for NA Z?
