Anybody with ECUTek canned e-tune?
Morning all,
I'm looking for any feedback for those who have: 1. Gotten a ECUTek tune, and 2. Not had a dyno, just an e-tune As you may have guessed this is the route i am thinking of going. Wha chu think?

Regarding a canned tune, are you referring to the one from Visconti that is for 370Z's with just a catback exhaust and the stock-sized air filters? Based on your signature, it seems you have only the F.I. catback. That canned tune is less expensive and does not include any etuning from data logs. The custom tune is $200 more.
I was debating going that route myself, but I am apprehensive given the one-size-fits-all nature of this. |

Let you know when mine is finished... working on a few issues atm with mine. Assuming because 2015 Nismo ecu had to be unlocked. John is checking into it for me. ANMVQ is the guy to ask though he has his complete and always gives good advice

Pretty close to finishing e-tuning with John and am definitely happy. It's like driving a new car. Absolutely no throttle lag and definitely more power. I sent what I believe are my final data logs to him and am just awaiting my concluding tune and things should be wrapped up. I have an A7, so I can't speak to launch control and flat-foot shifting, but I have asked John to up the line pressure a little so that I get somewhat firmer shifts. Also, think I will be getting the ability to adjust traction control.

He'll for sure make the shifts firmer. Mine are veru nice. It not line pressure either( I thought the same thing) its the torque requested tables. Mine shifts like a is has a shift kit.

Go with e tunes rather than the canned tune. Too many variables ie,mods, gas you use, altitude etc. took john about a week and a half to get a tune we both liked. I would of rather dyno tuned my self, but that wasn't an option.

Normally when you change gears you Let off the gas Clutch Pedal In Change gear Clutch Pedal out Press the Gas With Flat foot shifting wide-open-throttle Clutch-in Change Gear Clutch out Normally when you do this the car will bang the rev limiter but with RaceRom Flat Foot Shifting a secondary rev limiter is activated, fuel enrichment is added, and ignition timing is retarded Its faster or meant for aggressive driving

It's a really cool feature, I was playing around with it today.
