Default Street Tune V.S. Dyno tune. Which is better?

Hey guys, I'm about to do some tuning with a new fuel return upgrade.

My question is Street tune better being than dyno being that it's real world data?

If so, what's the best street conditions for data logging? Weather, road, gear pull, rmp ect.....

Thanks.

There about the same, If you have area when you can constantly get up over 110 MPH and not get in trouble sure go for it. Tuners will usually dyno tune a car then take it out on the road and recheck the tune to make sure things are spot on.

With a boosted VQ, id stick to the dyno unless you live in the sticks.

That's the issue. Have to get remote tuning where I live. They're 0 shops that deal with VQ's. Z1 willing to work with me using data logs and remote tunes. Sounds like the best option.

Dyno tune is always better. A street tune is a rich ballpark, so it should be safe, but not better

Have a issue with my rom file. Can't do remote tuning unless I have the file.

Want to do a low/high tune. Passive 6 psi, and max 11ish psi.

If you are NA it is pretty easy to Etune your car. The only advantage with dyno are...

- Safer for other driver.
- Tuner can tweak your timing advance and retard areas of the map that does not produce power (less internal engine stress) whereas Etune, it is hardly touch at all.

Basically, everything else can be done by Etune.

Thank you for your input.

I'm boosted with a GTM kit using a uprev. My rom file is lost, and I have to make the trip if I want a re-tune. Z1 is 6 hours away, and uprev themselves is 8hrs away. Jtran isn't answering their phone, and this is the 4 time I reached out to them in 6 months. (maybe their a small shop?)

Anyways, I got my quote from Jon after I install my S1 CJM fuel return.

Goal is 580whp @11 psi. Low boost I don't care just long as the car is under 0 stress most the time while taking trips with it.

IMO Z1 is my best bet their the only people that answered my questions, and called me back in a timely manner. Did call Forged Performance, being I did business with them 7 years ago on another boosted VQ, but don't give that warm fuzz feeling anymore.(new management?)

I'll just have to extend my budget being that remote tuning is out the question. It would have been nice just to get a email and uploaded on my ecu, but o well I'll probably get a safer tune with more power just bring it to them in person.

Jtran was closed yesterday Open Tues- Sat. I'm calling them today as I need a "Live" tuner. I have another guys who is willing to do it for me also. Is this something you thought about.
Just rent the dyno and have UPREV tuner on your cable ( I would assume) you need this, they log on to your laptop and tune the car while you on the dyno. I'm in the same spot you are No tuners near me, All tho I'm NA but have a lot of mods and think I need to move up from my Etune.

When are you calling? Someone always answers the phone when I call. Like mentioned above they are not open on Mondays.
