Mile high tuners

Anyone have a good reputable tuner that they have used here in Denver? I know of a few but just checking out my options.

I haven't used them for tuning YET, but MAC Motorsports in Parker have done a great job on all the work I have had done so far and I know they do a lot of tuning:

Welcome to MAC Autosport

If you need a 2-way diff installed and broken in, go see Adam @ Mac I used to go drifting with him a lot ; )

For everything else, tuning/ dyno, custom tubro manifolds/ kits, motor sawps ect... go to Imports Sports best and oldest Japanese tuner shop in Colorado.

Nick is Adam's older brother, when I meet him I was driving a Nissan S-13 red-top SR20 swap. At the time, Adam had a S-13 coupe with a SR20 swap & a full roll cage. Nick had a Saab... he was building and tuning it to drift, and nobody understood why.

I highly recommend again you get your tuning done by Sam, whether it's a Skyline, a RX-7, Supra or your Z Sam can and has tuned them all from street to full race setup. When Mo (Speed Image owner) was building his 350z TT he got Sam to help him with the tune ; )

But up to you~

MAC Autosports, is authorized UPREV, look at UPREV website. I have never messed with anyone other then MAC. I have been going to them 2 days after they opened. They built and tuned my Z, help build my 240SX. I have seen some of the "rumor" cars that they either choose not to work on or the vehicle was so bad that it would cost the customer too much money. Call them, go talk to them.

Sorry, never heard of Uprev... My last build was a turbo G35 I used a Turbo-XS ECU because that's what everyone was tuning with at the time. GTM who sold me my APS kit, recommended it and it was also the same setup Mo used on his orange 350Z which had a Greddy Turbo kit.

I went to Uprev's website just now, it looks like their base maps are a 1 year paid subscription, is that right?!

I am almost certain that if you were to get your car tuned by MAC that you would want to get the "Tuner" version of Uprev. I believe this allows the tuner to create maps by using the dyno. That license "cracks" the ECU for that purpose. Don't take my word for it as I am somewhat new to the concept of tuning. Hopefully someone can confirm or correct what I just said.

I have had my tune on my car for over a year. I have never heard of anyone running Uprev having to purchase anything additional after the initial cost. Maybe we were all supplied the tuner version?...not sure.

You want to tuner version if you plan on making adjustments yourself, or with someone who is not an authorized tuner.

I've heard nothing but good about MAC.

What is different about the tuner version versus what I must have? If you decide to teach yourself how to tune would you need the tuner version?

The Tuner version of Osiris lets you modify the tune yourself (or lets someone else do it). Without it, you have to go to an UpRev shop to have modifications made.

The Standard version only allows you to manage the map file (i.e. flahsh/re-flash). The tuner version will allow you to modify the actual map file parameters. The base file you received from Sasha was locked and you wouldn't have been able to modify that one anyway. Depending on the tuner you used for your custom tune the map file might or might not be locked. If your tuner is a 'Pro-tuner' with UpRev then their package allows then to adjust some tables that aren't available in the basic tuner version.
