Re-tune Performed by SOHO Motorsports in Charlotte, NC

THESE RESULTS ARE STD CORRECTION. Seriously though, very happy with the gains from the before and after. I wonder though if it's possible for a tune to deteriorate over time somehow? The tune that was on the car while maybe it wasn't great it certainly seemed get sluggish over time somehow or it was perception. End result I'm happy with how the car drives and responds now.

Whatever Nik did with the shifting it feels like a completely new car. It's smooth when cruising and the shifts just feel sharper, crisper and smoother. It's so much nicer driving it now, I never realized how rough it shifted before.

Final pull was 5th gear up to 168 (168 is what I thought I heard). That made me nervous to be honest. Earlier pulls done in 4th final pull in 5th to get the final number but the 4th gear numbers were identical maybe 1hp more if I'm remembering correctly. THIS IS USING STD CORRECTION so the final numbers per say aren't my concern it was the gains that I loved and as of writing this is confirmed on the butt dyno. It would obviously be lower using SAE as that uses 77 degrees and 29.23 whereas standard is 60 degrees and 29.92 so how much of a difference that is on a day where it was 62 degrees during the final run 29.xx something, it's on the sheet the exact conditions.

Oh, and thats another interesting, of the 3 places tuned this is the only place that printed the weather conditions on the dyno sheet, I wish all places did this. I'm going to post my other dyno sheets also but I have no idea what the temps were during those dyno's.

So I'm out here in NC and although nothing was wrong with my car it just felt like it wasn't all it could be so........ at a relatively cheap $295 SOHO Motorsports has a really good reputation from what I could find so I figured I would get a re-tune and see how it goes.

The Dynojet they use for tuning is at another facility (CES Motorsport) so I arrived about an hour early. After prep time Nik strapped the car down and ran the initial baseline then he began his tuning work. Now, the first ever tune put on the car was done after installing a bunch of parts and I was present as I had dropped the car off and came and picked it up when ready. The 2nd tune I was present for and the tuner was late and then only spent 30 mins in total tuning the car counting the baseline (this shop will remain nameless I suppose). This time I enjoyed the process much more as NIK explained what he was attempting to correct after a few pulls. A buddy of his showed up during the session with his 370 so it's was pretty decent I had someone to talk to while Nik doing the tuning. I liked the fact that he spent roughly 2 1/2 hours getting the tune dialed in and getting the AFR just right.

I may not be repeating this correctly but I'll try, it was along the lines of basically 12.5s are you're best TQ and 12.8s are best power AFR (generally) so he was trying to keep in that realm up to redline.

set the idle back to 800 as I hated it at 600rpm. just too low for my liking.

My point in this novel is this: this was the best tuning experience by far out of those 3 for me at least. To me Soho Motorsports was a very welcoming environment, easy to get the appointment scheduled, they were on-time, answered all of my questions via their email with 1 day each time and I had a few. Great experience, couldn't recommend them more. Now I'm itching to get down to carolina motorsports park for a track day or a visit to the dragstrip to see if we have any improvement. One can hope.
