The Octane Challenge

Is anybody going to the Octane Challange? Its this Sunday, October 11 at Willow Springs. The Octane Report website advertises that any driver can sign up and win a spot at their SEMA booth. Sounds interesting.

The event went well...An S2K flipped and a Corvette blew its engine...hope to see some Z guys at the Redline Time Attack in November. I havent been seeing G37's and 370's at these track events :(

Missed this one due to SEMA prep, but I will be at the RTA finals for sure. Who won the Octane Challenge?

Ouch on the S2K. I hope the driver was okay. I'm actually curious to hear how much protection he ended up with from the factory bars. I know I was told that you want to duck when one goes over... probably a good idea in any car.

I'm also curious about whether or not the 'vette engine blew because of oil starvation. It seems to be coming up increasingly as the tires get better and/or people put on R comps. It would be a good data point to add...

Just saw on Facebook this event was won by JC Maynet and the Harman Motive STI.
