Only real option I know of is to put in at least a 4 point cage. No authority on cages and I am honestly not that educated on them but it is one of my next upgrades. There are post market companies that sell "harness bars" or "Harness mounts" be wary, and be careful how they are installed. Some person died when this car first came out because they attached their harness to bar right behind the driver seat(which is completely inadequate for harness mounting).

There is no OEM location appropriate for mounting a harness.

There is no reason that I know of to buy a 3 point harness. Your OEM airbag and regular 3 point seat belt are fine. Either go to a full 5 point seat/harness/rollbar or just stay OEM. If you are looking for a true harness and seat solution, you live right next to the best Nissan performance shop in SoCal, contact Mike at Corner 3 Garage in Laguna Hills.

Edit: 4 point harnesses are generally frowned upon. A 5 point will keep you from breaking your legs on impact, a 4 point might not. Maybe a 4 point is OK for autoX where there are not walls to run into generally and front impact is not likely. But with a 4 point your butt can still slide forward(which is attached to your legs) and if they bump into the engine block crashing through your front dash, then the engine will win.

Anyone familiar with a harness option/mounting for BS?
I had the same question a while back. In the end I decided to keep my cg-lock. It holds you into the seat pretty well.

No harness unless you have a full cage.

No insurance if you have a full cage.

I've had good luck with moving my seat back, pulling the belt hard to lock it, and then moving the seat forward. I have the powered touring seats though and I suspect this wouldn't work as well with manual seats.

DR I do the same thing, with airbag, I figure what is the point of a 3 or 4 point harness.

@OP. Some of the post market "plugNPlay" bars might suit your needs, I think it probably depends more on the install. But still I am not sure that going to a 3 point harness is worth the money, I am open to feedback from anyone, but just can't see it working any better than what DR suggested by moving your seat far back, lock the belt, then slide the seat forward. If you do that, it will be just as good as a 3 point and a bar imo. Give it a try first I would say, it might save you a couple hundred bucks!

And yeah Dr, the power seats are good for that! WO them you would need to have a buddy help you push the seat forward most likely.

At tip for the CG-lock is to grab some skate board tape. Put a little but on the clamps and it will make sure it dosent fall off. I found that before doing this I would knock the lock off when getting in and out of the car during autox.

In the hatch there is a baby seat anchor bolt on the drivers side for JDM babies I personally wouldn't use one of those 3 point belts in a modern car with air bags.

I'm curious though.. @GSS, did you even look at the Scroth 3 Rallye ASM in the link in my post? If there was a legit mounting spot in the rear (or one could be welded in), it seems like a pretty good solution for autox - the anti-submarine feature looks good.
I did, and I have been exploring harness/safety options myself. The ASM sounds a bit gimmicky honestly. I would do some research on it. Again I can't see how this beats just the OEM belt and airbag. Not sure it's an upgrade. I might be wrong, but I just see no real advantage in spending money on a 3 point. If there is one, tell me what it is.

After talking to lots of people, after 2 month ago my father putting his GT3 into a wall at summit point, a fellow POC club member ending up hospitalized(he had 5 point and full cage) at Big Willow, and almost getting t-boned 2 weeks ago at Buttonwillow myself, I have decided that I am not even going to mess around with intermediary upgrades such as 3-4 points, bolt in roll bar etc.

Granted it's expensive, but I am getting to a point skill and time wise where I need to get some real safety gear. I don't do AutoX , and I can definitely understand why the requirements there are not as stringent. It's pretty unlikely to hit a wall or another car , and I am sure that 100MPH+ is not that common. So my needs probably don't align with your needs exactly, but I don't want you to waste your money either

While you are looking, check out Sabelt's products as well. nice looking stuff.

I did find a G-Force Torso Harness/Strap that basically does exactly what I want and is even cheaper and easier to install.

BTW - Returning a lease vehicle with a rollbar installed is not a good idea.
I'm with you on that I would love something that would hold my torso in place too. That device you found looks kinda uncomfortable though, but maybe its not. I need to see a pic of what it looks like when buckled up.

It would be cool if there was a way to make the seat belt tensioner lock on demand and stay that way until you release it. That I would happily buy for 20 bucks.

Did you get the strap? Using it? If so, like it?

I've been using the torso strap for 10 years. I keep it in my helmet bag. Best $20 you can spend.

Your totally safe options, in order of investment:

1. Stock
2. CG Lock
3. Seats, Harness Bar, Harnesses with ASM
4. Seats, 4+ point rollbar with a diagonal, 5/6 pt harnesses, helmet, HANS

Safety is a system. And the stock seats are not designed for use with harnesses.

Actual safety requirements for Autocross are generally much less. So you can get away with knockoff harnesses wrapped on the stock cross brace just to plant you in the seat. Not that I would suggest it.
