2015 SoCal Nissan Comp by Corner 3

The schedule has been released for the 2015 Track Day Nissan Competition Sponsored by Corner 3 Garage. Invite any and everyone to join Corner 3's face book page to see the schedule and come meet some of your fellow Nissan race fans:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/545884522098180/

There are 4 groups this year VQ street/Mod and NA4 street/ Mod(for your 240SX friends) see the rules for more details.

Top 3 spots in each event generally include some type of prize/trophy(just depends on what the sponsors kick us down), but free oil, racing gloves, the occasional t-shirt or hat what have you. There are also some huge discounts on sponsors products(up to 50% off on Berk, OS Giken, JW Technology, Swift, BC Coils, Torco, Qstarz etc) all sponsor the event and have awarded prizes in the past. The winner for the season receives a free set of Swift springs, either type-R or standard 2.5" of their choice.

But really the event is just about getting new drivers on the track for the first time, and having some fun with other Z owners. It's friendly competitive, and we usually all pit together(but everyone wants the free springs!)

This year we are working on trying to get the event organizers to allow the Nissan guys to have their own run group, and maybe host some concurrent days /comps with the VTEC Club.

Any questions, I can try to answer them here, or feel free to contact Corner 3 Garage and ask for John. The easiest way to get involved though is to join the FB group as it is pretty active on a daily basis.

:tiphat:The schedule is on the facebook page. Each event is basically 5-20 minute sessions. Best time of the day wins. You just run in your skill level group as determined by the event organizers/your skill level(XSpeed groups by lap time). We get everyone from first timers to guys that are putting in truly competitive time attack times.

If you have never been to a track day before, I would not recommend going to Big Willow for your first event. Try to go to Streets of Willow first, or Auto Club Speedway. Big Willow can be a little overwhelming for your first event imo.

We are doing a joint venture with SoCal Z for out first event at streets. There will be a lot of first timers and would be a good event to go to if you have not tracked before. If you register at http://www.extremespeedtrackevents.com/ and use the coupon code SOW74 it's only $99.00. Christian is here on the forums as well and will be helping C3 out. If you do not know the SoCal Z group their page is :

Check them out for sure. If you have something more specific just ask or call John Capati from Corner 3!:tiphat:
