^^ I think we will only be just beginning the process of building the prototype this weekend anyway. I have a few bread and butter products I have to get through the CNC for the next few days to pay the bills first.

I was able to finish the CAD yesterday. So we are ready to start writing machine programs for hopefully the last and final version of this.

I'm working on 370 z specific fix as well. Will keep everyone updated. Think I have found good surge pump.

Whats up with that? I'm not driving any slower.
Mike, you are just getting smoother on you inputs. Seat time is a beautiful thing.

FYI, wifey finished day 1 of a two day track event at Daytona today. She got fuel starve at 6 dots down from full in the last right hander coming out of the infield.

Edit: still on stock nismo suspension running PS2 tires.

I too have also gotten fuel starvation problems while tracking the car. Happened on turn 1 of VIR on the cool down lap for a 30 minute session. I started at half a tank of gas, so I was probably around a 1/4 tank when it happened. My personal solution is to just not go out at 1/2 tank or less. It would have been really embarrassing to get towed off for that

Hmm, I was replacing a leaky full tank in another car this weekend and it made me think of this. It was a smelly messy job, just be glad we don't have to drop the tank!

Got towed off the track the 1st session of my 1st track day for this reason... heh. It was embarrassing. Went out at half tank. Just glad I didn't fry my fuel pump trying to restart it.

ya we are currently working on replacing the spindle drive on the CNC we use for automotive parts (our other CNC is pretty much dedicated to injection mold building, we rarely have any down time with it to run car parts or prototypes).

for months we have had a problem where the spindle would fault when braking for a tool change, it was no big deal when it happened because it wasnt all that frequent and all it meant was reseting the spindle drive and rerunning the part.. so just 10-15 min wasted when it happened. But satuday it got worse. Twice the spindle drive faulted in the middle of cutting... and to loose spindle power while running a 1" cutter a half inch deep in aluminum means expensive tooling getting sheared right off. so now we can not run the machine at all because its at risk of destroying a tool every time it faults, and its faulting left and right all of a sudden. we went through the entire spindle and motor and encoder setup today and everything looks great so tomorrow we have to get a replacement spindle drive on the way... should only take a day or two to get here and a hour or two to swap out. if that gets us back online we can continue cutting parts.

but the entire product has been redesigned since the initial prototype. it is operating under the same theory but its all happening in different spots to make installation way way more clean and simple and also, like i was mentioning before, redesigned to accomodate some variations in setup. there are several configurations that it can be run in and adjustability is always cool. it will have a standard/basic recommended configuration that we believe will be the best and most well rounded. matter of fact it really only runs one or two ways for anyone thats at a HP level requiring just a single pump... so all the multi-configuration stuff will only be concern of the mad scientists working on rediculous HP levels.

ive been really pushing to get this thing done. i spent a lot of time in CAD and i really just want to hold the thing in my hand and say "DONE", not to mention clean my desk of all the related crap from R&D and consider it a finalized product. our CNC failure has come at a very unfortunate time, hopefully resolved this week as planned.

/\ keep up the good work, I know a lot of us have been anxiously waiting for y'all to release this product, but I for one, appreciate that you are not rushing something to market and are instead perfecting it and making it even better prior to release.
