well... so we have the test prototype which is so far working, and everything here to build like 20 more... but then in SolidWorks here I have progress on a version that I believe will be significantly easier to install, able to price quite a bit less, less complex in its overall layout and plumbing, and possibly more effective in function.

how long do i make you guys wait? R&D is a bitch!

Given we're about in winter now, I'd rather just wait for the better version :)

I'm in no rush but would like to have come Feb. I have a lot of plans then and this would fall into it.

There are 2 sides to that coin obviously. You can perfect stuff forever and sell nothing, or sell something that works but in your heart you know isn't the best that it could be. Usually the happy line is somewhere in the middle :)

Personally I'm off track the next 3 months for the Winter.

I'm really hoping for something to be installed early April since the 15th looks to be my first track day of the year. Finding someone to install it may be tough too. :P

after next weekend, I'm done til spring along with just about everyone else, so you still have a couple of good months.

I'm just patiently waiting. I've got a 15 gallon gas can I take to the track with me, and I can almost always get through a full session if I top off, so its more of an annoyance than anything else.

i live in socal so track season is year round :D

ive been in CAD all day. I am going to finish up the new version. It just makes too much more sense than the existing prototypes. Its more configurable as I can set it up as a twin or triple pump setup too, so it can support major HP as well. This means that once its done, we will have 5 different levels/options of fuel sending unit combinations for HP between stock and over 1000rwhp with and without surge protection. I like that this new design I am working on can be reconfigured at any time to fit any of these applications. To me, that sounds amazing.

Once I am done with this project I can sort out a couple plumbing kits. We already have billet VHR rails, but I want to add a new feature to them. Then I can build a couple plumbing kit options and we will be done with the fuel system product line with absolutely everyone covered. From road racing to drag racing to street racing to any HP level with return or returnless configurations.

Street racing. Who does that?:ugh2: :icon17:

That's the news I wanted to hear ...... March/April completion?

Still in CAD... its nearing completion in design. I am pretty sure that unless something comes up that means I have to stop CAD for more than a hour, I will have it done sometime tomorrow... then we can get it in the CNC

woot!

phunk 11-17-2011 04:50 PM

its so very close, having a lot of difficulty squeezing in the triple pump accomodations... but i really want to try and get them in there

ValidusVentus 11-17-2011 06:51 PM

The ability to be able to tailor the product exactly to the application is indeed a very cool achievement. Nice job!
