I ninja-edited my post, lol.

Yep, I will be there for sure. I just ordered my oil cooler yesterday, so really wheels and tires is all I need at this point since I have SS lines and whatnot.

Are you coming out? If you haven't registered yet, they have a $150 coupon available.

The offsets are giving me the problems. The F14 have alot more options though. More than your budget too.
I originally had PF01's 18x10.5" square with the 38 offset and 10mm spacer up front. I eventually ditched the 10.5" front rim for a 9.5" wide +35 which did not require a spacer. I had broken a stud and was sick of switching back and forth from stock to extended studs. I run a Toyo R888 275/40r18 square. I'm looking at getting NT01 275/40r18 front 305/35r18 rear for my next set.

I will be there for sure, I booked the rooms at the track hotel before we left last time. It will be cool to see another 370z out there, I'm always surprised no one brings them out.

PS, money aside i still want to test all setups. i get the square but i just LOVE a fat rear. i really want to test 285/285 and maybe 285/315

acutally i just looked at tire rack, in a A6 id have to run 295/30/18 and 315/30/18 to keep the diameter close. it may not be square but the smaller front wheel its mounted to would bring the diameter closer together. so it really wouldnt be a true 20mm gap.
basically if the wheel is too narrow to support the tire width properly, which i feel 9.5 is too narrow for 285, then the sidewall dynamics are not ideal. the tire contact patch doesnt produce grip until the sidewall is in tension. this is why i like to run with a slight stretch to "preload" the sidewall tension. when you run too narrow, you increase the sidewall tension delay. also when the tire is to wide for the wheel, the contact patch shape gets rounded.

Before buying wheels read this: http://www.the370z.com/wheels-tires/...ud-length.html

I am running Forgestar F14 18x10 + 34 square setup (without spacers) with 275's all around with no problems for my track setup. Sport Pkg brakes. Cheap setup and does great at the track. As the above thread states, you will have to run extended studs or bolt on spacers with any aftermarket wheel to get adequate thread engagement on aftermarket wheels. 50mm length studs will allow you to retain the ability to run OEM wheels and lug nuts without spacers.

Prior to my buying forgestars, I got Enkei NT03+M 18x9.5. Great wheels, but there is not a square setup that will clear the akebono calipers (IE, you need spacers in the front).

If anyone wants these wheels they are for sale though.

Read T. Just bought a set of 18x10 +34 F14s myself and want to run a 10 mil spacer in the rear.

Just want to verify that a 50mil stud with a 10mil spacer will work with the F14s in the rear.

You didn't specifically say these words anywhere I saw.

Thanks!

With those wheels I use the 10mm spacer from Z1 here: CNC Aluminum Hub Centric Wheel Spacers 2.5, 5, 10, 15, & 20mm

Currently I have the Nismo "Long hub bolts" with 50mm front and 60mm rear (just to make it easier to thread the nut on). I'm about to switch ARP's extended studs next week (same length all around, whatever "25mm over stock" is, I'm sure it will work - I *think* they're even longer than the Nismo 60mm).

I can check on my car later today (I have a ton of spacers), with a 50mm stud and a 10mm spacer you are effectively making the length of the stud back to OEM so I'm not sure you'll have enough threads poking out of the wheel. It'll be close, and personally I'd rather have my back wheels a little sunken with tons of threads engaging than flying off at the track.

EDIT: On the back wheels there's more thread than I thought. With Z1 10mm spacer, Z1 50mm studs, and Gorilla lug nuts I was able to get about 8 rotations on each lug nut by hand. Also, if you want to buy any spacers I'll have these for sale (brand new never used Z1 hubcentric). That said, if these wheels are just for track I personally would rather not run any spacer unless I have to.

Hey ValidusVentus, I was just looking at the "top lap time track records" thread and saw you have the only time there at CMP. How long ago did you run that? I was down there a few months ago for an HPDE.
