2012 World Challenge and the 370Z

Hi guys!

I thought I'd let you all know that there will be more Nissan products to cheer on in 2012. We've progressed far enough to make it pretty much a done deal so I figure I can announce it - I'll be campaigning a Nismo 370Z in World Challenge GTS this year with help from Nissan and Uprev.

I hope to sign additional sponsors soon - we've got some irons in the fire and I hope one pops shortly. I have it on good authority that there will be at least one other 370Z in GTS as well.

First event is St. Pete at the end of March with the Indycars and we've got a lot of work to do to get everything ready. Full schedule is on the WC website. We'll most likely skip the Laguna Seca and Miller events, but should be at all the others so if any of you make it to an event, be sure to find us in that paddock and stop by and say 'hi'!

Yes, I have to throw out a super-huge "Thank you" to Dave at DXD Racing Clutches for sending their support our way. We are getting very close to the first event and I'm getting pretty excited about it - all the logistics are pretty much done, now we just gotta get the car ready for testing!

Which series is this? What are class rules etc? Didn't look like 370z made it into grand Am season this year.

It's actually it's own series that runs with ALMS. Used to be Speedvision. Speed WC, etc.

3 classes. GT, TC and GTS recently added. GTS was gonna be fun but they kicked our vettes out.

Pirelli World Challenge. The top class is basically ALMS GT cars. Overall it is a "faster" series mimus maybe the lowest class. The Pirelli slicks also MUCH better than the conti's....or so I hear.
